I have been following the show for more than a decade back when Bob was on sportsnet. Specifically I loved the period when Richard D was cohosting with J Shannon. However, Bob has become unbearably negative to listen to - even when it the negative hot take doesn’t makes sense, its still there, it’s no longer a schtick, it’s become un-listenable, I find my self to cring and stop the show midway. Sometime I feel sorry for the guests, they don’t know how to respond to illogical takes of Bob. Mostly... more
Agree with previous reviews. Since his return McCown has been absurd and downright nasty at times. Actually calling John Shannon stupid one time. And making outrageous statements simply to draw attention. Case in point, saying Scotty Sheffler is as good or better than Tiger Woods in his prime ! Come on ! This is not the same show and oddly it’s much better without McCown.
Listened since day 1. I loved it. Bob has his health scare and I stuck through despite the rotating hosts, it was still good but no where near the level it was. I was so excited for his full time return at the beginning of the year. He seems to be in better health. But he just argues for the sake of it and comes across completely clueless, his takes have become asinine, he doesn’t listen to anything anyone is saying and just wants to be a contrarian and have baseless arguments. It’s an awful awf... more
Listened to Bob for over 40 years. Loved it being the curmudgeon but forcing it is too obvious and annoying. Listen for yourself in Smith and Jones episode Bob. Argue for argument sake
This show used to be smart... it's now just annoying... Since his return, it's become more buffoonish than ever... he lost the art of provoking conversation... he just argues stupid arguments without any set goal... he's trending more and more like Cherry was in his last years...
