  • Baseball’s Best Show!

Love the energy from Kevin and Jeff is the best dam baseball aficionado in the business. I listen to a few baseball pods around the league, but this one’s the BEST! Jeff and Kevin, just having fun, entertaining us with their blunt and intelligent takes on our favourite game! A tip of the cap to baseball’s best show!

  • It's the only Jays podcast I just can't listen to, though I've tried so many times. Blair is an inarticulate perpetually angry old man who is not a Jays fan. Barker is an inarticulate, arrogant minor leaguer who thinks he had Barry Bonds' career, and is not a Jays fan. They both have sh*tty takes. I don't understand why they have this major platform.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sizing Up the Twins
Q: Danny, what are you expecting from Patrick Corbin?
The hosts and Dan discuss that Corbin's early-season role is to provide innings, with the Jays hoping he can be a bridge to healthier arms and stabilize the rotation rather than expecting flash from a veteran who has to prove it after an injury-plagued start.
Ejections, Defensive Mistakes and Injury Updates with John Schneider
Q: What's been the tone of your coaching staff and what do you want the tone to be early in the season with mental mistakes and throwing mistakes?
We aim to be even-keeled, emphasize accountability, and focus on forming an identity as a team while addressing mistakes openly and constructively.
Ejections, Defensive Mistakes and Injury Updates with John Schneider
Q: OK, before we start digging into individuals, I want to ask you, because I've never asked you this before and I'm very intrigued about when you get tossed. Did that come into play too?
It's about the balance of fire and control; you want to light a fire for your guys but you also want to stay in control and not derail the team. It's about reacting to the moment while maintaining perspective and continuing to coach from the dugout.
Buck Martinez Returns! + Slow Starts Across the League
Q: Buck, how do you view the Jays' start and their defense being a little erratic right now?
Martinez says a temporary defensive mismatch is understandable given injuries and lineup changes, stresses that leaders need to keep the team focused, and notes Beau Bichette's role as a stabilizing presence amid early-season turbulence.
Dodgers Dominate World Series Rematch
Q: How does Shohei Ohtani's two-way role affect pitching rotation decisions and rest days for the team?
Prior explained that the organization views Ohtani's value as a two-way player and that the rotation is managed around his usage, with open communication and workload planning to ensure he remains effective while contributing daily.
