Chinese manufacturing didn’t get a bad reputation because of racism. And it’s not because people think Chinese workers are incapable. It’s because there’s a long, documented history of unscrupulous factory owners downgrading qu... more

Cuttin it up with Uncle Paulie
Q: When did the idea of Uncle Paulie's Deli truly click as a business?
The concept crystallized when the two of us decided to open an East Coast Sandwich Shop in LA, aiming for a neighborhood spot that felt familiar and welcoming, with fresh ingredients and a local feel. It grew from a social idea into a real business with a strong community focus.
Cuttin it up with Uncle Paulie
Q: So wait, you moved to Manhattan when you were 20. What were you doing there?
I started by leveraging family roots in the club scene; my mother ran comedy clubs and connected me to hospitality and branding work. That period gave me a front-row seat to how venues, people, and brands collide, which later informed how I built Uncle Paulie's Deli.
