  • Strong content in need of a little AV assistance

Great quality of article summaries/discussions, but audio quality is frequently so poor it requires maxing out the volume to even hear some of the interviews with large fluctuations in volume between host and guest. Would be outstanding with slightly better editing of audio content.

The International Hip Society Supplements 2025
Q: So Prof, for our listeners, could you maybe give us a brief overview of the International Hip Society for those who are not familiar with it and how it sort of came about and what role it plays?
The IHS is a close, elite society approaching its 50th birthday with a maximum of 100 active members; its purpose is to bring global hip surgery experts together to share ideas, discuss freely in a closed forum, and promote education and dissemination of knowledge, with the journal serving as a platform to publish and highlight its best work.
Hip surveillance in children with cerebral palsy in the UK
Q: What are the challenges these programs face and how might technology help?
Challenges include leadership often not being surgeons, radiograph interpretation by non-experts, and integration into workflows. Technology like AI can democratize interpretation, standardize measurements, and support repeatable analyses.
Hip surveillance in children with cerebral palsy in the UK
Q: Could you maybe start by giving us a brief background of why hip surveillance is so important in children with CP and how these programs have evolved?
Hip surveillance provides a proactive framework to monitor hip development over time, allowing early identification of movement and dislocation before symptoms appear, with multidisciplinary teams coordinating regular clinical exams and radiographs to intervene sooner.
