    What is so interesting is that I see he is interviewing a photographer who specializes in a type of photography I have no interest in but when I start to listen I get totally hooked by the depth of his questions and how he brings out the personality and passions of the person he is interviewing and the episode becomes so fascinating that I can’t turn it off.

    I recently began listening to Beyond The Lens while driving cross country. Richard Bernard asks personable, well thought out, questions that disarm his guests immediately. There was no useless babble at the beginning before getting to the ‘meat and potatoes’ somewhere in the middle. It was all substance from beginning to end, done in a light manner that doesn’t get old or boring. After a few episodes I just wanted to grab a camera, do some editing, and work on my skills.
