Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S21 Ep49: Darkness Radio Presents: Pawtographs Update/These Walls Still Talk w/Tim & Lauren Maile and Brian Paone
Q: What sparked the idea to write These Walls Still Talk inside MSP?
A spontaneous overnight ghost hunt during training sparked the concept; the real-world intensity and the possibility of writing inside the penitentiary offered a unique angle that grew into a full novel.
S21 Ep47: Clay and Bones: My Life As A Forensic FBI Artist w/ Lisa Bailey
Q: How did your career path lead you into FBI forensic art?
Bailey explains starting as an artist in Johns Hopkins, answering an FBI illustrator ad, and leveraging her tech and art background to transition into forensic art, culminating in a role that combined digital manipulation, demonstrations, and collaboration with anthropologists.
S21 Ep31: Monsters: Myths, Legends, and Real Encounters w/Richard Estep
Q: Let me launch into this whole thing, Richard, by asking you, with the Monsters book, why this turn with Monsters? Why now?
Monsters have a perennial fascination across generations, acting as a catch-all for the unknown and evolving with each era through new interpretations, while remaining rooted in cultural folklore and regional identity.
S21 Ep28: The Supernatural World of Time Travel w/ Jeff Belanger
Q: How do you see time behaving in relation to paranormal experiences like hauntings or cryptid sightings?
The guest suggests time can be seen as a backdrop where events unfold; time slips and paradoxes may help explain why people report sightings that feel tied to past moments or future possibilities, rather than being purely spatial occurrences.
S21 Ep25: "The Rain Said Samsara': Love Reincarnates Through Time w/Mary Reynard Liss
Q: How do we make that connection with the divine and still yet coexist with technology?
Mary explains the importance of personal responsibility in how we view and use technology, and emphasizes that the divine is always present around us.
