  • Drone on

I use to be a listener for years. I got away and recently came back. Lots of droning on with stories and the latest episode with Mali was just Tim babbling on with her chiming in one or two words. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was as bored as I was.Have to unsubscribe and maybe come back again in 6 months.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

S21 Ep65: Skyring Water: Cold War Spies & Family Ties w/ Beau L'Amour
Q: Tell me a little about the relationship between Anton Voss and Mike Fowler and how they came together as partners.
Beau explains that Voss and Fowler form a close, almost father–son bond within a dangerous arms venture, with Voss's strategic, three-dimensional thinking guiding their moves and tensions arising from pasts and loyalties.
S21 Ep65: Skyring Water: Cold War Spies & Family Ties w/ Beau L'Amour
Q: Did your father ever take you back to North Dakota, or grow up there too?
Beau confirms memories from North Dakota were part of his childhood experiences, discussing family trips in the early 1970s and how those memories shaped his perspective.
S21 Ep62: M*rder By Design w/ Lee Goldberg
Q: How does Wally Nash influence the narrative compared to most detective sidekicks?
Wally provides a unique lens as a struggling actor with an instinct for character-driven motivation, which helps ground Bixby's grand ideas in human behavior and keeps the dialogue lively and self-aware.
S21 Ep62: M*rder By Design w/ Lee Goldberg
Q: What was the biggest creative challenge in Murder By Design?
Crafting impossible crimes that still make sense within a world where design shapes behavior was the hardest part; the solutions had to feel earned through observation and environment, not just clever deduction.
S21 Ep62: M*rder By Design w/ Lee Goldberg
Q: How did you approach turning a classic whodunit into a design-forward detective story?
I started from character first, creating a detective whose life and world would push him into conflicts that reveal the crime's design. The plot grew from the constraints of design and affordances, making the mystery feel inseparable from the environment.
