The show has had ups and downs. Too much overhead and the host seems to have his friends on just to laugh a lot at his jokes. Nice people but do they have anything to do with movies, other than watch them.
So, I hadn’t listened in a couple months but needed something light for 90 minutes. 33 minutes in, nothing about the movie. All banter, a list of Patreon donors, some weird game and maybe ten minutes on a tedious story of missing a train. I think the movie was gods of Egypt but I gave up.

An update. It’s improved recently by cutting back some on the banter and the looong list of things. I’d add a star, but from the recent episodes of Starship Troopers and Cabin in the Woods, politics is creeping in. I’m so sick of critics elevating movies because they like the movies politics that I’ll drop it if it continues.

The problem I have is all the filler. It typically takes twenty minutes of banter to get to the review. Sometimes the banter is ok, usually not … these are not comedians. When they finally get to the reviews they get distracted by more banter. And occasionally, Ian asks something like what other ten movies did ... more
