  • Uninteresting people, with a less than interesting podcast

A lot of “you went to that college? So did I” type banter. No one cares. Often leads to “you had that professor? So did I! Does he still teach there?”

Occasionally they’ll get into golf topics, but … the sound engineering is horrific! Sounds like they’re recoding a three way conference calls with 5 people using an iPhone 5. In a bathroom. As good as other golf digest podcasts are (Golf IQ as an example) someone at GD needs to listen to this and make some changes.

    The good:

The team does a great job interviewing their guests and the gambling portion is fun. Stick to the golf.

    The bad:

    The ugly:

It is apparent that they don’t have an engineer but can they get microphones that sound professional? One person continually sounds if they are recording in their bathroom or speaking through a towel. Do they listen ... more

Q: How did you and Russ connect for the first time?
The caddie explains a fairly informal, proactive outreach: he contacted Russ's agency as a free agent, and after a few days Russ invited him to Detroit the following week, which led to a trial period that evolved into a long-term partnership.
The Block party continues, Viktor slays Scottie and an incredible Ryder Cup venue suggestion
Q: How did the VGA qualify players and what does the partnership bring to Liberty National?
VGA runs a national, branch-based selection process culminating in a Force Creek qualifier; the partnership offers a powerful story about patriotism and sport, with a national TV showcase that spotlights veterans and their families.

It elevates awareness of the veteran community and shows that even at a private, high-profile club, veterans can access world-class facilities and media exposure, inspiring broader participation and philanthropy.
The Phil Mickelson bombshell with Joel Beall, plus U.S. OPEN PREVIEW AND PICKS
Q: What was the role of the club's response and the video footage claim in shaping the final piece?
The club's assertion there was no video footage, despite Phil's camp claiming otherwise, was a crucial turning point. It anchored the narrative in verifiable fact rather than speculation and reinforced the necessity of relying on corroborated evidence and official statements rather than rumors.
The Phil Mickelson bombshell with Joel Beall, plus U.S. OPEN PREVIEW AND PICKS
Q: Joel, how did you hear about this story and how did it come together?
We began hearing rumblings at the end of March near the Masters, but the reporting evolved as more sources corroborated variations, and we focused on what could be proven and backed by editors and legal. Todd Leonard helped break barriers and navigate the San Diego-area context, leveraging multiple layers of editorial and legal support.
