  • Best English-Language coverage of Germany Football and Bayern

Who is Chuck Smith? He shares very little personally, but after many years of listening to his podcasts all I know is his level of commentary and analysis is up there with the best on ESPN. For English speaking fans of Germany and Bayern, there simply is no better place to stay up on these teams. This is not a vapid discussion among bird brains.. it’s founded in strong writing and analysis.. there are no wasted minutes here. I have been an avid Germany supporter for 20 years but Chuck is the rea... more

I appreciate the hard work and care that everyone puts into this podcast and I understand these are probably fine people

But I cannot listen to someone from Springfield, Ohio… Who probably has a C license from the United States Soccer Federation for coaching….

Criticize the Bundestrainer. Herr Võller, or the DFB competition board.

Maybe they know a little more than you? Maybe they have a little more experience.?

  • Availability > Ability

There aren't many Bayern-specific podcasts out there, so you'd think having something to listen to would trump nothing at all. Unfortunately, that's not the case here. Sometimes I wonder if I'm listening to the right episode given how off base the "analysis" is. I keep trying to give these guys a shot, hoping they surprise me. Yet every podcast I listen to leaves me disappointed and fuming at how poor the analysis is. I appreciate their availability, but their ability renders it meaningless.
