  • Politics?

Endorsing political candidates on a fishing show is a bit wild. Don’t tell me who to vote for. I’ve only listened to two episodes. I’ll probably listen to a few more and maybe change the review if it seems appropriate. First episode was meh. Second had a lot of good info.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Bryan Schmitt - River Fishing Strategies
Q: What would winning the Classic mean to you personally and for your career?
Winning would validate years of preparation and signal that the hard work and exacting patience you need to hunt big river events can pay off at the highest level.
Fisher Anaya and Paul Bailey
Q: Paul, what do you think about the current conditions at Clear Lake?
The bite hasn't been as good as it typically is during the wintertime, but we're still pumping 30 to 45-pound bags, and we're not even to pre-spawn yet.
Fisher Anaya and Paul Bailey
Q: Fisher, how did you separate yourself down at Lake Martin?
I spent a decent amount of time on that place, and it's just always been my style of fishing. I love that place, even though it's not got giants.
Pake South - The Young Gun
Q: How do you trigger those bites with a jerkbait?
The number one mistake is letting it sit too long; you need to keep moving the bait to draw the fish in.
Pake South - The Young Gun
Q: What's your number one tip for clients learning to be proficient with forward-facing sonar?
Spend a lot of time on the water looking at it, and don't spend too long on one fish. Just keep moving.
