Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Grand Island Fighting Cranes - Sam Costa & John Voita
Q: What promotional plans or events are you implementing besides the games?
Promotions include Thirsty Thursdays with alcohol venues, Faith and Family Nights, a Texas T-Bone shirt toss with a coupon, and a Read Around the Bases program in collaboration with Subway to drive school participation and attendance.
Grand Island Fighting Cranes - Sam Costa & John Voita
Q: What can fans expect when they head out this summer to see you guys?
Fans can expect a new, family-friendly baseball experience featuring a refreshed ballpark, promotional nights, local partnerships, and a growing roster of players drawn from around the country for a memorable summer in Grand Island.
Windy City T-Bolts New Look - Mike LaScherve
Q: Tell us more about this look. How did you come up with this radical look?
Mike explains that the design firm presented multiple options, colors, and stories, and the team narrowed them down through an iterative process to arrive at the final, electric-themed look that still honors the Thunderbolts identity.
Mid-State Melon Mashers - Carter Catlett
Q: Where did you come up with the Melon Mashers name and branding?
The name and logo evolved from a creative idea that uses Gallagher's watermelon destruction as a playful motif, but the underlying purpose is serious: to use baseball as a vehicle for breast cancer awareness, inspired by my wife's experience and our desire to support the community.
