  • A great project

It’s been a delight listening to some of these interviews. Some wonderful music/culture came out of this scene and it’s fascinating to hear some of the characters reflect on the period and their work since.

Neil Collins Author of International Velvet
Q: What was your sort of get into music?
I’m from a journalism background, having worked for Wales Online, and self-published two books before this.
Neil Collins Author of International Velvet
Q: What are the main challenges that you had writing the book?
Writing non-chronologically and ensuring enough depth while reaching all significant parts of the story were the main challenges.
Ulysses Wells
Q: What's next? I know you kind of alluded to something happening with a kind of different project. Is that the next thing you're digging your teeth into?
Yes, after my play in Hampstead, I'll focus on finishing recording and mixing, aiming for a more lyric and story-driven style.
Ulysses Wells
Q: So in terms of guitar and songwriting and the juggle between the two, because you're a pretty prolific experienced guitar player, how do you get the riff?
I approach riff-based songs differently than acoustic singer-songwriter songs, finding it much harder to write catchy, direct rock songs without being too flowery.
