Reb Sruli, you have made the Daf accessible, interesting, and very engaging. I can’t believe you have been putting in this much effort for so long. Real mesirus nefesh.

  • Struggling with diction

I have been following the Daf for two months, and reading the Aramaic, But I have such a hard time understanding this podcast. You need to speak slower, you need to articulate, you need to use more English and compare it with the Aramaic/Hebrew terminology. After you do that, I might be able to understand what you’re trying to say and give you a better rating. Bottom line, speak slower, articulate your consonants so you can get your message across. You don’t need to be cool to be Talmudic.

  • Renewal Of Old 3.0

Besides for having the same initials, same lunar birthday and play the same instruments (guitar & mandolyn) - Yisrael Michael (Sruli) Rapps was (and always will be) my chaverusa (Talmudic study partner) and I therefore can attest to his incredible ability to dissect, clarify and give over the Talmud in simple yet intriguing fashion that everyone can understand and enjoy.
