A post about an MIT professor's coin flip (win $125, lose $100) went viral claiming that refusing the bet was the smart move. The psychology is real. The advice is backwards. This is the difference between risk aversion as wisdom and risk aversion as... more
NFL preseason line movement is under the microscope after a wild stretch of results: teams that have moved 1.5+ points or more on the spread this season are 0-8, and 23-51 since 2024, according to Big Al McMordie's numbers. That trend has reignited a... more
Prediction markets and sportsbooks might look identical on the surface. Same lines, same moneylines, same spreads. But legally and structurally, they're nothing alike. In this conversation, Jacob sits down with Captain Jack Andrews to break down why ... more
Rishi Bets has been posting on X since 2011 with over 35,000 posts and a following nowhere near what that volume would suggest, and it's exactly why the account works. He posts his bet sizes, his wins, and his losses in real time, no cherry-picking. ... more

These guys that put on a weekly episode for the betting space are very knowledgeable! I highly recommend
Circles Off is must listen and have tuned in to every episode since inception.
Circle Back is shock jock clickbait.
I understand as bettors that have lost their edge the guys need to find another source of income and ATTENTION and CONTROVERSY sell, but the shows should really be decoupled. One is the most insightful and educational content there is while the other isn’t far from Stephen A Smith/Skip Bayless/Clay Travis fake outrage.
It’s time to say goodbye to this show. Highly recommend the earlier episodes from a few years back, as it used to be one of my favorite podcasts. I know there’s only so much evergreen content and interviews you can do, so I get the pivot but this is just brutal. It’s gossip about scamming bettors on twitter 90% of the time. And they talk about stuff where it’s obvious what the right answer is. And most of the hosts are arrogant nerds with speech impediments and no charisma, which certainly doesn... more
I came here from the Bettor Life 2.0, got tired listening to Eric about how much time he spends at casinos and away from his kids. After Eric’s affair on his wife, I had to find a new podcast. Keep up the good work, excellent podcast!
How can we take these guys seriously about the big stuff if they don’t bother getting the smallest and easiest stuff right? One Google search was too much for them before pressing record, so they confidently say “Tim Donahue” over and over with no concern that they’re revealing themselves as half-informed and lazy.

The show centers on sports betting analytics, market structure, and the ethics of edge discovery, blending practical modeling tips with real-time market commentary. Across episodes, hosts scrutinize prediction markets, bookmaker practices, and social-media betting culture, often featuring deep dives into betting models, appetite for risk, and the mechanics behind new products like injury insurance and bet-protect features. A notable thread is how markets evolve, how to evaluate edges, and how industry developments—ranging from major platforms to regulatory moves—shape bettor behavior. The format tends to mix roundtable discussion, expert guests, and data-driven takes with a candid, sometimes skeptical tone about influencers, promotions, and... more
