I like the show, very informative, but the host just spent 20 minutes saying the same thing three different ways. Yes. +120 and -120 are 180° out if phase. You only need to say that once. I guess there is a need to pad out the episode so you can fit ads in.

Master The NEC | Episode 58 | A Few Code Questions and What’s Happening Now
Q: In transformer sizing, why is primary protection often set at 125% rather than 250% in code-compliant practice?
Because sizing the primary at 250% can leave primary conductors under-protected or require oversizing conductors; 125% provides double-duty protection for both the primary conductors and the transformer, with higher allowances only when manufacturer coordination and impedance/overload protections justify it.
Master The NEC | Episode 58 | A Few Code Questions and What’s Happening Now
Q: Quick question for you: are 15-amp receptacles allowed to be installed on a 20-amp commercial circuit if the drawings specify it?
Yes, it's allowed as long as the drawings don't conflict with 210.21b3 and the receptacle on the branch circuit has an amp rating not less than the circuit rating; otherwise a 20-amp receptacle must be used for a multi-receptacle arrangement.
Master The NEC | Episode 42 | Ampacity of Conductors Explained
Q: What size THHN copper conductor do you need for a 40 amp continuous load with seven current carrying conductors?
For a 40 amp continuous load, taking corrections into account, you would need at least a 6 gauge conductor after adjustments.
Let’s Ask Paul Podcast | Episode 199 | Question about sizing the GEC Common Conductor
Q: Does 250.66A apply, and do I have to size my grounding electrode conductor any larger than a 6 if I have ground rods?
Yes, you can size the grounding electrode conductor based on 250.66A as long as it doesn't extend to other electrodes that require a larger conductor.
Let’s Ask Paul Podcast | Episode 195 | NM Cable always requires junction boxes at splices?
Q: Is he allowed to stub out the Romex wire in an exterior wall without a box?
No, a box is typically required unless there are specific exceptions under the code.
