Even though this was our most checked-out of Kpop year yet, we couldn't possibly let the year go un-commemorated. So we got together IN THE SAME ROOM :sob emoji: to just chitty chat about the Kpop that we DID listen to this year, and it wasn't nothin... more
OMG HI!!!! Did you miss us?!?! We couldn't stay gone forever and we especially couldn't ignore such an important tradition! It wouldn't be a proper year of Kpop if we don't run down all the girl group debuts!! So please enjoy this extra long episode ... more

Somehow we haven't done a song battle episode in over a year?? So we felt like we needed to make it bigger and better by starting with 15 songs instead of 10! That makes it MEGA! And we made the Patreon patrons help us choose the winners of this batt... more
Last weekend a seemingly impossible Kpop dream more than 12 years in the making came true. This is a recounting of our attendance at SMTOWN LA 2025 to the best of our memory which is spotty because our hearts and minds were lost in Kwangya.

We're heading back 20 years ago once again, and this time it's a more barren landscape than we're used to. Rock bands and ballad singers are dominating the charts and the music shows, and the Soompi archive is broken so we're blind to any fun news st... more
I can’t listen as hosts react and review negatively to one boy group specifically in this episode and previous episodes. The negativity is unwarranted.
This is my favorite podcast, hands down. These ladies work so hard to create informative, engaging, and super fun content. I think this podcast is totally accessible for long-time fans of kpop, or newbies! Aside from the in depth research and information, I think the best thing about this podcast is the friendship between Shannon and Angelica. They are hilarious, warm, and completely genuine. Every episode makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends. S&A are knowledgeable and open to sharing... more
amak is truly spectacular. if you like kpop, or even if you are just curious about it, this is the show for you. i’ve been listening for about a year, and amak has become a highlight of my week. i love how i’ve been able to grow as a kpop stan / get more into & learn more about kpop through this show, in fact i’ve become a deep shawol, a once & a monbebe because of it. if you like kpop, even if you don’t think you’re a podcast person, listen to this show, it’s incredible.
Each week on Wednesdays, the co-hosts of Ask Me About Kpop (AMAK) engage with their listeners to talk about various aspects of the K-pop fan experience. This is a great podcast to listen to if you’re just getting into kpop and want to learn more about it. The episodes are very informative and comprehensive and the sound quality is amazing. I came for the Taemin episode but it’s quickly become my favourite podcasts. The hosts are both really funny and entertaining and it’s clear they both have a great amount of love for kpop. Highly recommended
It is nice to find international K-pop fans. These hosts are super fun and cool and are genuinely fans of k-pop. It is enjoyable to hear their experience and reactions.
I listen to this one and other Kpop podcasts. I go to the other ones when I want to listen to music analysis and more accurate & professional information or facts. I do not think that this podcast is claiming to provide those.
However as an art, music and fashion enthusiast, I found that the hosts are shorts in professional a... more

I started to enjoy this podcast when I saw that they cater to old and new k-pop fans alike (I’m relatively new). I started to really enjoy them when they handled delicate topics with nuance and care. Then they bashed capitalism. I’m in love with this podcast.
So much fun and also very informative
Everyone has a favorite group and biases. But after listening to nearly every episode it is very clear to me you have a deep hatred of girl groups and particularly TWICE. Every episode there is without fail an offhanded remark to demean TWICE as a group or to belittle their fanbase.
If you don’t like TWICE thats fine, but stop bringing them up every episode to make hateful comments towards them. In episodes that have no relation somehow TWICE is brought up just to be ridiculed. Whether its the... more
