  • Disappointed

I’ve been a huge fan of Iliza for YEARS. paid for meet and greets, signed books and posters, listened RELIGIOUSLY to every comedy special and podcast but I’ve hit my breaking point. She seems to be going down a right wing pipeline with her comments about Charlie Kirk and Israel. She’s entitled to her opinions but I would rather not be called an idiot or paid actor for being critical of Israel’s far right leadership. I hope the money from Israel is worth it and you’re not just doing this for love... more

  • Real Life Advice that Cracks You Up

I have been a longtime fan of Iliza as a comic since War Paint and had no idea until last year that she had a podcast. I have been binging it since. I absolutely love this format. Some questions are funny, some are serious, but Iliza knocks them all outta the park. I also love the dynamic btw Iliza and Emily! Hot Scotty crushes it with the comedic relief in audio editing too. I absolutely love driving to work and cracking up over AIA!!

  • Like the show but not the direction it’s going…

Have been enjoying the show for some years now because of the Iliza/Emily combo. (Yes I do enjoy hearing about the cats.)

Some current trends: I like podcasts because they DON’T contain visual content. Don’t care if my hosts have perfect hair—just want to hear them.

Iliza is moving this to a more video program—may work out well, but not my taste.

More importantly, very disturbed by Iliza confounding any criticism of the policies of the state of Israel ( and its authoritarian lea... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is There A Beautiful Room?
Q: What practical steps should be taken if someone decides to stay with a partner who comes with significant baggage?
Document arrangements legally (such as assets and future plans), insist on clear boundaries with both sides of the family, and ensure you have access to independent counsel or therapy to support the decision and its consequences.
Is There A Beautiful Room?
Q: Is there a risk in pursuing a relationship where your family disapproves due to differences like age and life stage?
Yes, the risk is high if the relationship requires you to compromise essential life plans or face ongoing conflict with loved ones. Consider whether you're willing to face ongoing scrutiny and potential disruption to your future stability, including financial safety nets like prenups.
Is There A Beautiful Room?
Q: Hi, Iliza, I need guidance on dealing with my family about an age-gap relationship; what should I consider before moving forward?
Acknowledge the concerns, lay out concrete boundaries, and evaluate whether the relationship aligns with your long-term goals. The heavier baggage (ex-spouse, kids, and legal implications) signals you should proceed with extreme caution and protect yourself with formal agreements if you choose to continue.
Daughter. Emergency. Ellipses.
Q: Do I have a second child?
The asker is weighing the emotional and financial costs of adding a second child, considering factors like parental involvement, support from family, and the partner's commitment. The hosts emphasize evaluating practicalities (finances, help, and stability) and personal readiness rather than succumbing to societal pressure.
I Am Gagged And Agog
Q: Hi Iliza, how should I handle comments about my weight at work after a medical scare?
Respond with a brief, non-detailed acknowledgment, then pivot to a neutral topic and move the conversation forward. Avoid sharing medical specifics; keep the focus on boundaries and professionalism.
