Reviews

4.0 out of 5 stars from 5 ratings
  • Very American view of Asia

Thoughtful and informative, but very U.S. oriented (i.e., the definition of good is that it’s good for the USA). I’m not convinced that the rest of the world would necessarily always agree with that viewpoint. Something like this show but from a more global perspective would be nice

Perhaps this show is better for what we learn about the USA knowledge, if not necessarily about Asia from an Asian viewpoint.

  • Re: Promoting Good Governance in the Global Commons

Too generic. Not enough specific information. Did not learn anything new.

  • Sound quality is bad

AI Governance and Regulation in Southeast Asia
Q: What paths forward do you recommend to strengthen US-ASEAN cooperation?
Prioritize elevated US-ASEAN dialogue, develop a shared AI governance framework, facilitate access to compute resources, support model testing for bias and accuracy, and build a trusted AI cloud strategy that benefits the region.
AI Governance and Regulation in Southeast Asia
Q: What are the major challenges to U.S.-ASEAN AI cooperation?
Key challenges include adapting U.S. approaches to local contexts, political shifts under different administrations, and restrictive or protectionist AI sovereignty policies among some ASEAN members that could limit engagement.
AI Governance and Regulation in Southeast Asia
Q: How are people in the region viewing cooperation with the United States and the opportunities associated with that engagement?
There is significant perceived opportunity with a large market and potential gains in GDP, but for a true partnership, Southeast Asia should move from a vendor-supplier model to co-creation, knowledge transfer, and local capacity building.
Documenting China’s Borderlands – 2025 Recap and Look Ahead to 2026
Q: What surprised you and perhaps also what was your favorite part of the project so far?
The favorite part is seeing how the project's qualitative analyses are complemented by quantitative dashboards, which reveal patterns like the rapid growth in cross-border judicial engagements and the way provincial-level diplomacy organizes China's outreach in adjacent regions.
