Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 50: Exploring Large-Vessel Vasculitis (LVV) with Dr. Alison Clifford
Q: What is your approach to re-imaging patients with confirmed GCA or tachyvasculitis?
I usually think about re-imaging them at least once a year, especially in stable tachyvasculitis cases, as there are few other clues to go on.
Episode 50: Exploring Large-Vessel Vasculitis (LVV) with Dr. Alison Clifford
Q: How do you choose the imaging approach for vasculitis?
I like both ultrasound and PET; whichever test you have the best access to is the right one to go for, as all tests are time-sensitive.
Episode 50: Exploring Large-Vessel Vasculitis (LVV) with Dr. Alison Clifford
Q: What are you trying to get out of it that the FDG doesn't quite get at?
We were trying to look for a new tracer that would maybe be either more specific to the pathogenesis of GCA or that would be less likely to be influenced by a glucocorticoid's dosage.
Episode 51: The Past, Present and Future of Psoriatic Arthritis with Dr. Dafna Gladman, Officer of the Order of Canada
Q: How do you bring a patient to your level of science?
Effective communication about the risks of inflammatory arthritis and the benefits of preventative treatment helps bridge the gap with patients.
Episode 51: The Past, Present and Future of Psoriatic Arthritis with Dr. Dafna Gladman, Officer of the Order of Canada
Q: Will AI be helping some of these?
Dr. Gladman confirms that AI will be a powerful tool in analyzing large data sets and improving patient outcome predictions.
