Red Scare Theatre Company presents a five part audio drama experience. Apocalypse Songs follows a local radio station reporter Amy Louise Chen investigating the tapes of Clara Wilson, an obscure 1960s musician whose cryptic lyrics seem to have predicted the future. Amy joins forces with Clara’s great-nephew Josh to investigate the mystery of Clara’s “Apocalypse Songs”. Cover art by Cosmo Bones.

I binged the entire thing… I was sucked in from the very first episode. I had been getting burned out on podcasts and then I saw this one recommended on Reddit and checked it out. It was exactly what I needed! Very well done.
THIS is how you write and tell a great horror story! Different and unsettling, well-written and well-acted. Would work great as a movie, too! Wish it was longer/there was more.
Spooky, atmospheric and brilliantly written
This review system really needs negative star options, because rubbish like this doesn’t deserve anything positive. It is a product of a state funded arts scheme, a sort of dole for otherwise unemployable ‘creatives’. This bunch should go back to stocking supermarket shelves.
The ‘plot’ (to be charitable) is a audio rip off / melange of ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ / ‘Blair Witch Project’. The ‘acting’ is sufficiently wooden to leave splinters in your eardrums.

It’s a well executed audio drama with intriguing premise in (to me) unfamiliar setting. I was spellbound and listened to the whole thing in one sitting. I have nothing but the praise for the team behind this podcast and I’ll be keeping an eye out for their new content.
Delicious, finally some good f***ing horror podcast.
Like it's subject, 'Apocalypse Songs' is an undiscovered gem with all the makings of a cult classic. The voice acting and special effects are absolutely second to none. Tied together with its deliciously horrifying subject matter, this is the first podcast to leave me well and truly scared.
Literally right now I'm writing this review because it's almost midnight and I'm getting freaked out listening. I love it, it's been far too long since... more
Ended abruptly and felt incomplete but was so well done
Great podcast, well acted and really interesting, but I don't really understand why these people are researching this singer since she's bloody awful. Comparing the singer to Kate Bush is so insulting to Kate Bush, I couldn't even believe it.
Creepy and disturbing, in a good way. Binged it in 1 day.
This is a really great show. Excellent sound design and voice acting. The plot is imaginative and gets you hooked right away. Despite the freaky "nails on chalkboard" music, the show is excellent!
Binged the entire series in one night, and I, too, lost track of time by the end of it. The chillingly realistic presentation, coupled with a story that could genuinely be explained in two equally compelling ways (which the characters are also caught between) was a stroke of genius, and the ending caught me by surprise in the best way possible. I don’t think those final lines will leave me anytime soon, and I can’t wait to see what Red Scare Theatre does next!
Slow-burn, realistic, chilling story. The writing is precise and nuanced, and I'll be thinking about this one for a while. Love.
I have to admit the content warnings made me nervous, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. The story is chilling and realistic, but the ending didn't leave me feeling ultimately haunted (a thing that always puts me off about horror stories). The writing is precise and empathetic, and I know that the nuances of this story will stay with me for a while.
I really enjoyed this podcast which I came to via Radio 4s Podcast Radio Review. The creepy music was very eerie indeed and the tale was well developed. Second season please.
Not my style at all. I really didn't like the music they played.
