As a practicing anesthesiologist, I’m often frustrated that my flagship science journal lists heavily toward “bench science”, and this discourages me from reading rhetorical journal. It’s great to have this effort to point me toward the research that actually can influence my practice.

They then discuss why opioid free anesthesia is fraught with adverse events. Please. Whatever did you think would happen after running Precedex at those rates I should make a study with patients on a fentanyl infusion so I can show the pitfalls of balanced anesthesia.
