  • This recovering evangelical says this is the place to start!

So many things to say about this podcast! I was raised in a religious cult, married a catholic and began practicing Catholicism. Fast forward 13 yrs, raising 3 kids and deconstructing and reconstructing my faith. This Podcast led me to realize it is ok and encouraged to question, explore and learn about my faith. We found a wonderful episcopal community and the seed of my faith transformation started with podcasts like AAWY!

  • A MUST for all, but especially parents

I absolutely love this podcast. I have learned so much about the Episcopal church, Christianity, and theology. But I also really value the episodes related to faith at home and how I can talk about these really complex ideas with my children starting at a young age. I’ve even included some episodes as resources in my parish’s Family Newsletter. It’s truly wonderful!

  • Accessible, informative, and affirming!

As a newcomer to the Episcopal Church from a conservative, non-liturgical background, I’m amazed at how accessible Revs. Lizzie and Laura manage to make all their material while still doing informative, deep dives. Growing up, we didn’t even say the Nicene Creed—what a blessing to learn all about it (and a whole bunch of other interesting stuff) from two wonderful souls who approach every topic with humility and humor and also don’t assume too much prior knowledge of church doctrine! It’s so imp... more
