  • Interviewer needs to let author speak

    I was very interested in this book and listening to the author- however, the interviewer would not stop making “mmhm”, “wow”, “oh, interesting” kinds of comments that would have been better if she just muted her mic and let the author have a complete thought without her interruptions. I appreciate the effort, but she needs to learn how to conduct an interesting interview- actually listen to what the author is sharing and respond accordingly- not just say “interesting!” And then move on to the ne... more

Q: Could you just give us an overview about what Project Mexico actually is? What is its mission, its background, its goals, things like that?
The organization began through a network of Orthodox church leaders and laypeople who were looking to combine faith with practical service. Its mission centers on home construction for homeless families near the border, an orphanage, and educational and spiritual programs that foster community and Orthodox faith among volunteers and recipients alike.
