  • You call that a recap?

There was no recap. All they did was talk about feelings. They talked for 10 solid minutes about how sorry they are for the fans of Florida and LSU for losing and how they know how it feels because they’re Michigan fans. And then they talked how they felt about how anybody could’ve won. They did not recap the competition. They did not talk about any of the gymnastics and who did what to let them win. No scores were mentioned and it was all about how they felt, how the coaches felt, and how the f... more

  • Glad I gave it another try!

I had tried listening to this pod a few years ago but just couldn’t get past the terrible audio. After a couple of the Coaches Corner interviews came out this preseason I decided to give it another try. I’m so glad I did! So many improvements have been made and it’s obviously great to get insider information from a pretty wide variety of the top programs. Looking forward to having another pod in my rotation, especially when the season starts!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mental Gymnastics with Brooklyn Moors and Dr. JD Barton
Q: How do you define success now?
My definition of success is knowing I did things the right way and helping others along the way, rather than solely focusing on winning.
Mental Gymnastics with Brooklyn Moors and Dr. JD Barton
Q: What lessons did you learn about your relationship with diet and exercise?
I was weighed since I was like seven, and I had a bad relationship with food. It affected my performance. I learned how to properly fuel myself just in my last year of gymnastics, and it was so different afterward.
Mental Gymnastics with Brooklyn Moors and Dr. JD Barton
Q: What was the experience of being an elite gymnast at a young age like?
It was a lot, but I like to say that it truly built character. It taught me a lot, but I had a pretty rough few years.
Mental Gymnastics with Brooklyn Moors and Dr. JD Barton
Q: How do you view your journey with mental health throughout the span of your career?
I've been through some of the lowest of lows and highest of highs. It's been a journey to get where I am right now, and I want to help other athletes going through the same thing.
400 Feet Up & No. 1 in the Nation | Interview with Georgia's Lily Smith
Q: As a team, were you thinking about winning going into that meet with LSU?
Going into the meet, we were just reminding ourselves like we are a good team. It wasn't on the top of our mind, we can beat them.
