  • A better way to explore UK comedy

This is so much better than the usual “American reacts” YouTube videos. History, context, links. It’s a great podcast. Glad I found it

  • Brilliant!

Such a fascinating dive into British comedy with details you will never have known otherwise. So superbly researched and the juxtaposition of a British playwright discussing the back-stage details and absurdities of UK comedy from another era with an American comedian produces a sublime discourse. Start from the beginning but each one individually is excellent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is such a delightful listen. Rigorously curated, irreverently discussed, this is a must for anybody with even a passing interest in British comedy. Plus bonus episodes with comedy legends who were there. A high point of the podcast fortnight!

  • Delightful

I love coming along on this journey. Im an American (I’m sorry. I know we suck right now) and Ive always appreciated British comedy, but never had a good entry point. My ADHD butt has delighted in this series, and cant wait to dig into more.

Pippa Evans Explains I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue
Q: How much preparation goes into a typical episode, and how does that balance with the improvisational nature of Mornington Crescent?
She describes a hybrid process with some pre-written material for structure and safety nets, while rounds such as Mornington Crescent rely on genuine improvisation and team chemistry.
Pippa Evans Explains I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue
Q: When did you first become aware of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, and was it part of your family's or your own early exposure to Radio 4 humor?
Evans explains that Radio 4 was part of her childhood and that she grew up with the show's theme music and the ensemble's presence, which made the program feel like a familial tradition.
James Lance Explains Absolutely Fabulous
Q: How did you get the part of Trent Crimm?
James explains that his manager sent him the script, he wasn't initially sure about Higgins, auditioned on tape for a smaller role, and after a six-month wait he landed the Trent Crimm part thanks to delivering the line with a preposterously arrogant tone.
