This is so much better than the usual “American reacts” YouTube videos. History, context, links. It’s a great podcast. Glad I found it
Such a fascinating dive into British comedy with details you will never have known otherwise. So superbly researched and the juxtaposition of a British playwright discussing the back-stage details and absurdities of UK comedy from another era with an American comedian produces a sublime discourse. Start from the beginning but each one individually is excellent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is such a delightful listen. Rigorously curated, irreverently discussed, this is a must for anybody with even a passing interest in British comedy. Plus bonus episodes with comedy legends who were there. A high point of the podcast fortnight!
Tom Salinsky is so knowledgeable and Abigoliah Schamaun is so interested and thoughtful in her reactions - they make this fascinating subject really entertaining. Love it !
I love coming along on this journey. Im an American (I’m sorry. I know we suck right now) and Ive always appreciated British comedy, but never had a good entry point. My ADHD butt has delighted in this series, and cant wait to dig into more.
