Good luck with Reeves And Mortimer!
I’ve listened to the first episode. If you are looking for a gentle listen, which is insightful and informative whilst also jolly and funny, then this is the podcast for you. Even from episode one, it is apparent that Tom knows a lot about British comedy, including important context to how the programmes were made. Abigoliah is just charming, bringing a fresh eye. Brilliant.
Entertaining and informative in equal measure! Abigoliah and Tom are great to listen to and provide a unique and fun insight into the history of British comedy.
It’s not the messiah, it’s a very good podcast.
I stumbled on this today and loved the first episode. The concept is fascinating and it’s done so, so well. The combination of characters between the two presenters works brilliantly. Abigoliah is warm, intelligent and extremely funny in her own right, while Tom cements the whole thing superbly, with the answer to any question at his fingertips. A couple of great minds and an extremely enjoyable podcast.
I enjoyed the first episode. The combination of first reactions from someone new to the show and background from someone who knows a lot about the history and making of British TV and comedy works well. Looking forward to what they cover in the future.
(And I also loved Nightingales — how did that become forgotten given who acted in it?!??)
