The internet has killed film criticism, resurrecting it is Peter A Deluca known throughout the cosmos as AKPAD. Here he wages war against poor hot takes, lazy insight, and trashing a movie just for clicks. This is the last bastion of honest cinema thought.

Green Lantern always had a problem as a franchise
Frank Miller: American Genius (2021) The Film Buff Review
Normal (2025) The Film Buff Review of a great movie with a bad title
Who is this guy?? His brain is on fire.
I subscribed to Dream Warriors because I like the quick reviews on new movie releases, and the theme episodes like '30 Days of Dread' during Halloween.
This podcast really goes deep into an array of topics and Pete’s longstanding passion for all of them is truly contagious...whether you agree or disagree with his many musings, he always keeps things fresh and interesting...also a very catchy theme song!
I’ve been listening to the show from episode 50. I loved it so much, I went back and listened to everything I missed and haven’t missed one since. I put this on at the gym when I’m running on the treadmill, really makes the miles go by faster. The show is funny and insightful. You can tell Pete has a real knowledge of what he talks about. I often agree with what he has to say and that’s what keeps me coming back episode after episode.
Deep dives, in depth reviews, long discussions on all things geek, culture, sports, alcohol, and occasionally, women.

This show delivers long, opinionated monologues and hosted deep-dives into film, TV, and pop culture, with a strong emphasis on thoughtful analysis, industry trends, and nostalgic era comparisons. Episodes balance personal anecdotes, historical context, and cinematic craft, often tying current releases to broader franchises, remakes, and cultural moments. A standout is the host's ability to blend accessible takes with nerdy lore, making it appealing to cinephiles who enjoy thorough, conversational critique and in-depth series/film explorations.
