Thanks boys for allowing us to hear about great people are working thanklessly for Aussies
What about an interview with your wife and Mother? It would be interesting to hear about their lives and careers as we heard from your Dad Alfie.
Fantastic podcast, overall, and the brothers’ show The Hold Down is really fun, also. Been a listener for years (ex-pat in the U.S. from Warriewood) and one of the better aspects is they’re not beholden to the WSL, so it’s “pure, tour nerdism, core lords,” live shows and some important, albeit usually devastating, world news stuff as well, five stars.

A candid, high-energy show mixes deep-dish analysis of major surfing events with culture, politics, and personal stories from the surfing world. Episodes often feature veteran pros, rising stars, and investigative journalism-minded guests, all discussed with irreverent banter and a no-BS attitude. Listeners can expect sharp heat-by-heat breakdowns, culture-wars commentary, and behind-the-scenes perspectives on tour politics, sponsorship, and athlete development. A standout angle is the blend of elite sport insight with broader lifestyle and resilience conversations, plus a long-running willingness to challenge entrenched narratives in surfing media.
