4.4 out of 5 stars from 7 ratings
  • I consistently enjoy this podcast it gives a grounded real world view into an area that is very much maligned. As an independent business owner and creative it is refreshing to hear takes on a tool such as AI from my family creatives. Do I agree with everything? No. Every point of thought is refreshingly opinionated. The tours to be used by and for humans for the betterment of humanity. Good work 👍

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

From Dentist to AI Artist Petra Molnar, founder of the Creative AI Network, Chicken Soup Lawsuit, Oscars shut out AI actors
Q: So quite the rundown this week, Petra. Where shall we start? Shall we start with the Oscars?
Petra agrees and forthcoming discussion focuses on Oscars eligibility and how AI actors and AI-generated writing are being treated, opening a broader debate about where synthetic performances fit in traditional award frameworks.
Disney/OpenAI deal Dead, TV director and Google AI tester Afia Nkrumah on AI in creative careers
Q: What are your thoughts on the current state of AI tools for writers and directors, especially for those starting out?
AI should augment, not replace, human skill. Those with strong craft—writing, subtext, directing—will still lead. AI is a back-and-forth tool that helps with ideation, structure, and speed, but the core decisions and intimate storytelling must be human.
Disney/OpenAI deal Dead, TV director and Google AI tester Afia Nkrumah on AI in creative careers
Q: Afia, what do you think people need now that you can build something from scratch so quickly?
The key is about distribution and audience—think about the funnel, marketing, and how to reach your viewers. Use AI to draft strategies, align with your craft, and then execute with real-world effort to build and sustain an audience.
Disney layoffs, shoe company pivots to AI, and AI is The Greatest Shift In Human History, says Fairvote UK's Kyle Taylor
Q: Where do you see this heading with democratic systems and policies like robot taxes?
Taylor outlines three risk areas—economic disruption, disinformation, and cybersecurity—and argues for proactive governance to decide where AI should be used, ensuring social benefits while avoiding dystopian outcomes.
Disney layoffs, shoe company pivots to AI, and AI is The Greatest Shift In Human History, says Fairvote UK's Kyle Taylor
Q: So where should we start on that, Kyle? How about we start with shoe companies pivoting to AI?
Kyle explains that AI in the creative space should be viewed as an enhancement and new methods of production rather than outright replacement, emphasizing that the narrative should focus on new capabilities and opportunities rather than fear of loss.
