愛媛県の南予地域。宇和島市の南端に位置する浦知（うらしり）。そこにある旧浦知小学校跡地を活用して、米粉を活用したパン工房、伝統お菓子の工房、伝統味噌工房の運営と、金土日にはCafe「あすも」を開店する「津島あぐり工房」の代表が山下由美さん。
米を食べなくなった近年の食生活を憂い、米粉パンを作り続ける傍ら、コミュニティ再生のための活動を続ける。

愛媛県今治市玉川地区（旧玉川町）は、イノブタ料理やしいたけの産地、伊予の３湯の一つ鈍川温泉で知られる山間の町。
そこで、若者の地域離れが進むことに憂いを感じた森智子さんが始めたのは、玉川と似た気候の長野県が名産のマコモダケとブルーベリーの栽培。
地域の名産品ができれば、地域を訪れる人も増える。収穫があがれば、収益があがり、農業で身を立てることができるようになれば、地元に帰ってくる若者も増える。
そんな思いを胸に、地域の場づくり、地域づくりに奔走した２０年を語ってもらいました。

今回のインタビューは、愛媛県内のこども食堂・地域食堂の活動を一緒に盛り上げ、新しい地域コミュニティの創出や、地域内の人達、地域と地域を結ぶ人たちのつながりを深めるための活動を開始した、えひめ地域こども食堂ネットワークの大道世紀江さん。愛媛には2022年8月末現在92団体（えひめ地域こども食堂ネットワーク調べ）のこども食堂の活動が確認されていますが、コロナ禍の影響で焼く30団体が活動を休止しています。
