  • Scripts? I couldn't believe my ears. A true seasoned consultant doesn't need or require a script.

Additionally, clients almost always don't know what they're looking for. Thats why they are calling you. I was hoping to hear value, but same ole same ole. Robert, you should look at a replacement for your side guy.

  • A Go-To Resource for Authentic Business Building

This is a podcast done with love and care. I was extremely honored to be a guest on Robert's show. Robert is selective in who he invites, and our conversation was an invitation to explore authenticity in business. It turned out we were perfectly aligned. This podcast is a go-to resource for anyone interested in building an authentic, expertise-based business. Robert has a remarkable ability to extract valuable insights from his guests

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Season 20 | Ep 227 | From Hourly to Outcomes: Packaging, Positioning, and Pricing That Scales with Jonathan Stark
Q: What are the core differences between productized services and value-based projects?
Productized services have a fixed scope with published prices and no need for lengthy sales calls, while value-based projects are priced based on outcomes and require a discovery-like interview to estimate value and tailor a proposal accordingly.
Season 20 | Ep 227 | From Hourly to Outcomes: Packaging, Positioning, and Pricing That Scales with Jonathan Stark
Q: What sparked the shift away from hourly pricing?
The guest recalls realizing that top developers generated less value when billed hourly, which inspired him to explore fixed-price and value-based approaches that reward faster, higher-quality outcomes and align with client goals.
Season 20 | Ep 228 | The Revenue Plateau: What to Do When Growth Stalls
Q: I guess some questions that people will want to know is really how common is the revenue plateau and why does it seem to catch everybody off guard, right?
There isn't a single statistic, but plateaus tend to arise from either industry-wide dynamics or insufficient activity. The key is to recognize whether the issue is a growth problem or a breakdown in the activities that drive growth, and then assess seasonality, channel effectiveness, and relationships to determine where to focus.
Season 19 | Ep 225 | How to Build Systems That Don’t Kill Creativity with Melissa Morris
Q: Why do agencies resist systems, and how can that mindset shift happen?
Many equate standards with low quality, but systems can amplify client experience when paired with flexibility and a clear framework; shifting mindset involves seeing standards as enabling creativity and setting guardrails that prevent chaos while still allowing innovation.
Season 19 | Ep 225 | How to Build Systems That Don’t Kill Creativity with Melissa Morris
Q: What is the first thing you would suggest a struggling agency start with to move toward systems?
Start with getting crystal clear on your offers and ensuring the whole team understands what the client is paying for and what success looks like, then build a client communication SOP to handle feedback and boundaries.
