  • Scripts? I couldn't believe my ears. A true seasoned consultant doesn't need or require a script.

Additionally, clients almost always don't know what they're looking for. Thats why they are calling you. I was hoping to hear value, but same ole same ole. Robert, you should look at a replacement for your side guy.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Season 21 | Ep 243 | The Neuroscience of High-Performance Agency Leadership with Dr. Eugene K. Choi
Q: What is the practical first step for a leader to move from the survival brain to the executive brain?
Start with awareness of your current state, then name and acknowledge your feelings to regulate them, followed by quick body regulation techniques like deep breathing or a short movement to trigger the nervous system's switch to the executive state.
Season 21 | Ep 239 | The Difference Between AI Efficiency and AI Value with Jay DiPietro
Q: How should agencies think about the economics of AI adoption?
Treat AI as a tool to compress time and elevate high-value work. Calculate the cost of current tasks, the value of freeing up senior talent, and ensure quality remains high. The goal is to produce more valuable outcomes, not merely faster outputs.
Season 21 | Ep 239 | The Difference Between AI Efficiency and AI Value with Jay DiPietro
Q: What do you think agencies are getting wrong about AI in today's environment?
Too many agencies are talking about AI without translating it into concrete, repeatable actions. The path to value lies in actually doing, testing, and iterating rather than debating the possibilities, and in focusing on how AI can amplify senior thinking rather than replace it.
Season 20 | Ep 232 | Beyond the Hype: What AI Can (and Can’t) Do with Thanos Diacakis
Q: How should teams think about using agents and where should human judgment stay in the loop?
Specialized teams should map workflows to determine which steps AI can execute autonomously and where human review is essential, using AI to handle repetitive or data-heavy parts while humans provide context, risk assessment, and final validation, especially in complex decisions.
Season 20 | Ep 232 | Beyond the Hype: What AI Can (and Can’t) Do with Thanos Diacakis
Q: So what have you personally found AI to be surprisingly good at or surprisingly bad at in your experience?
AI excels at engineering tasks and iterative problem solving when combined with agentic flows, yet it struggles with providing perfect human-like judgment in complex, nuanced domains; the key is to use AI where it complements human strengths and to maintain governance and review for critical decisions.
