My husband owned 20 acres of lakeside property. We decided to subdivide and sell building lots. The investor saw a goldmine. We signed papers and then the end of the world came. For him anyway. We were already paid!!Nobody had money to purchase land, real estate collapsed. It took him 10 years, at least, to begin to recoup his investment. So, I am enjoying listening. Even though I have no capital to invest, I know nothing about stocks, I find the big short podcast in movie absolutely enthralling and fascinating… And I just bought the audiobook as well!
The reason podcasts are popular is they search for truth without agendas. Sadly, Lewis and Gladwell are attempting to break that model by pushing political agendas. Even sadder, both are great writers. Why try to shape the narrative? Just tell the stories.
I’m not quite sure how he does it. Actually, I’ve taken a master class and seen and heard Reid enough interviews with Michael Lewis to know exactly how he does it. His gift is getting to the Zeitgeist when is equipped and the rest of the team, they’re unstoppable!!
