  • Take a drink

A great podcast but if you took a drink every time Dave interrupts or says “ummm” you’d be the most intoxicated person on the planet.

  • Won’t listen again

I listened to the Emily episode. First time and last time. Emily herself was FANTASTIC but I hated how condescending the “main” host was to his friend who was just trying to get through the script about their social media stuff. Great friend, right? Also, we know you have kids, dude. You don’t need to remind us every six seconds.

  • Great except for-

A great podcast and you can tell the two brothers are really into what they are talking about. Other than the tiresomeness of Dave’s bit and his constant use of the word “umm” that is beyond distracting, it is a great show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

A chat with Gavin Hignight — Founder of Wandering Planet Toys!
Q: If you could bring a classic IP to life, what would it be?
Gavin's white whale is Colombo, and he expresses a strong desire to make a Colombo figure, despite licensing and likeness hurdles.
A chat with Gavin Hignight — Founder of Wandering Planet Toys!
Q: Gavin, what led you to start Wandering Planet Toys?
Gavin describes being inspired by other indie toy creators and the appeal of talking directly with manufacturers, which motivated him and his partner to launch Wandering Planet Toys and pursue crowd-funded projects.
Making Toys Like a Boss... Fight Studio: A Chat with Lenny, Cory, Tony, and Chris
Q: With 50 years of collective experience, what toy are you most proud to have worked on and what toy was your biggest challenge?
Proudly, Snake Eyes 00 and Timber stood out for engineering breakthroughs and making beasts like Timber feel like a character on its own; the biggest challenge was the Power Rangers Eye Guy due to tricky anatomy, box-fitting issues, and removable eyes that had to be redesigned for appropriateness.
An Interview with Back to the Future Screenwriter Bob Gale
Q: Bob, as we are on a show about collecting, what are you currently collecting?
I'm currently focusing on old American illustration and late 19th to mid-20th-century illustrators, seeking high-quality prints and limited print runs from that era.
Live from New York Toy Fair 2026 with Todd McFarlane!
Q: What's the one thing that you would say you are most excited for people to get their hands on?
I'm curious how Poppy Playtime is going to work, given its strong fan base and potential for success.
