Good, old fashioned conversations about the craft of acting from one great actor to another. It’s enlightening, inspiring, funny, off center, and totally enjoyable. Especially episode 4 ;)
If you are an actor, or want to be, this series is a must listen.
Austin is an incredible actor. Been following his work for decades. So exciting to have these insights into his career and his craft.
I really enjoy listening to ActorSpeak with Austin Basis! The conversations on the podcast are so interesting (and very funny too). Austin asks great questions and engages with his actor guests in a very genuine and authentic way. It's really incredible to get this amazing insight into the life of each of his guests - how they got into acting, their individual process - and interesting experiences that they've had along the way. I highly recommend listening to this fantastic podcast!
A friend told me that I would really like this podcast and I do! I studied acting many moons ago and when I listen to the actors talk it brings up so many wonderful memories. Austin really delves into acting as an art form (but the interviews are really chill) and I love the interesting onset/backstage stories that are told. That story about Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier, legendary! Super interesting if you are interested in the arts and a must listen if you are an actor.
This is a shoptalk podcast for actors but Episode 2 of the Nina Lisandrelo interview quite literally MADE ME A BETTER ACTOR LOL… There are awesome stories & tips in every episode. Austin is a great interviewer and has so much wisdom himself!!! I’m grateful for this trove of incredible conversations.
