  • My New Favorite Podcast!!

Specifically because of the episode from January 25, 2026!! They took a stand that NO other film podcast has done and have been too afraid to talk about. Art is political.

  • Essential for action fans

The original 3 hosts have magic chemistry, deep film knowledge, a genuine love of the movies, good attitudes towards their guests, and compassion for people involved. They book mostly good guests. They built a strong, kind, and welcoming community around the podcast. Audio quality of the show could be improved some. But give it a listen if you like action cinema.

Canadian Beef & GHOST KILLER (2025)
Q: How has the community around Action Twitter influenced your ability to make films?
It has expanded the network of collaborators and distribution opportunities, helping with festival visibility and fostering collaborations that wouldn't have happened otherwise.
Down with the ICK(2025)-ness
Q: What was the approach to opening ICK and balancing homage with originality?
We wanted an unapologetic opening that throws you into the world and lets you feel the film's energy immediately, while layering in the meta-text and creature-feature warmth that anchors the rest of the movie.
Down with the ICK(2025)-ness
Q: Can you explain the vector edit philosophy and how it influences your cutting style?
Vector edits follow motion direction; you cut where the movement leads, which keeps rhythm tight and makes the action feel continuous, almost like a choreographed dance across the frame.
Down with the ICK(2025)-ness
Q: What drew you to Torque as a project and how did you shape it into your vision?
I was given the project, but I wanted to strip it down to its raw, maximal energy—make something you could feel in your gut, not just see on screen, and then push it toward a more sunglasses-on, popcorn-friendly vibe rather than gritty realism.
BIG BAD x A4E LIVE: The Pyun Cut Intro & Koichi Sakamoto Q&A
Q: I guess I want to know what are your past influences that influenced your action when you were first starting out? And then I'd love to know who currently working that is, you're also taking inspiration from.
Sakamoto explains his early inspiration from Jackie Chan and his master, then describes ongoing influence from peers and mentors in the Japanese and Hong Kong stunt communities, emphasizing the need to learn from a wide range of styles and to stay adaptable.
