  • RPG for your ears’ delight

You don’t need to be a gamer to get swept up in this amazing world building! Starting as a one-narrator story in season one it soon develops into a full on audio drama with so many fascinating characters and places!

  • When I first started listening to this podcast, I had hardly any idea what I was getting into. David S. Dear has written out an amazing story to introduce us to every corner and aspect of the RPG Numenera, a game I had never heard of, and leaves me wanting for of the world's exploration and the growth of the main character Januae while he struggles to control his teleporting ability and fate.

  • A rich, full and complex world, brought to life by David and the cast’s performances, scoring and sound effects. This feels lovingly and painstakingly produced, and a great listen for fans of big sprawling sci-fi and fantasy.

  • Top tier show

I had never heard of the Numernara game previous to listening to this show. But the way that David has built the show within the 9th World is amazing. It quickly became one of my favorite shows and is one that I look forward to new episodes dropping.

  • Immersive story telling.

This is the first time I have chosen to listen to this particular type of podcast, based on a tabletop role playing game and I am so glad I did. I have particularly liked the fact I have been able to binge listen to it, as it has given me the opportunity to engage with the character of Januae who teleports to dangerous and strange places and the people/worlds he encounters. David S. Dear’s narrative brings the story and journey of Januae to life and now I have finally caught up to the present se... more
