  • One of my new favorites!

I love this podcast because it is not commercialized, always informative, and includes a ton of variety. Episode content is thought-provoking and entertaining. If you are tired of MeatEater’s exploitation of this space for their own excessive financial gain and looking for a content provider that hasn’t sold out to the industry, then give this podcast a try. Thank you, James Nash for keeping it real.

Ask me Anything
Q: What tactics would you suggest for Western Oregon cougar hunting?
Approach it with realistic expectations: use baiting where effective on the east side, supplement with calling, and consult local wildlife biologists to identify higher-density cougar areas for opportunistic calling campaigns, treating it as a long-term effort rather than a single-day hunt.
Natural Resources Politics with Senator Todd Nash
Q: During the long session, how many bills are you encountering and what's the scale of the workload?
The session saw an enormous volume of bills, with thousands dropped; the typical bill is around 10 pages, but references to many other statutes can push it well beyond that while resources and reading load are substantial.
Pies, Gardening and Hunting with Grandma Jamie
Q: What is one of the most positive, I guess, innovations or technological developments or inventions that have happened in your life?
Electricity, its convenience made a huge difference.
Pies, Gardening and Hunting with Grandma Jamie
Q: What are, in your opinion, some of the best changes that have happened, and what are some things that worry you a little bit?
Cautious about cell phones and technology affecting original thinking and experiences.
Surviving Death with Brent Oliver
Q: What type of support could you benefit from in your world record attempts that are coming up?
We're looking for title sponsorships to help turn this into a documentary that explains my story and possibilities.
