Cowboying Stories with Mark Lundy
Q: Tell me about the best horse you ever had.
Mark describes several great horses he trusted in different contexts, noting how some were exceptional at specific jobs like roping or calf work, while others were simply dependable in tough country, highlighting the value of having horses with consistent performance across tasks.
How to plan a hunt with Rucklist, (full episode)
Q: Can you walk us through your hunt planning from A to Z?
The guest explains that planning starts with assessing how to move around the terrain, securing the right equipment (six-wheel transport when possible), mapping and intel about access and restrictions, and then layering in backup plans for weather, gear failures, and logistics.
Ask me Anything
Q: What tactics would you suggest for Western Oregon cougar hunting?
Approach it with realistic expectations: use baiting where effective on the east side, supplement with calling, and consult local wildlife biologists to identify higher-density cougar areas for opportunistic calling campaigns, treating it as a long-term effort rather than a single-day hunt.
Natural Resources Politics with Senator Todd Nash
Q: During the long session, how many bills are you encountering and what's the scale of the workload?
The session saw an enormous volume of bills, with thousands dropped; the typical bill is around 10 pages, but references to many other statutes can push it well beyond that while resources and reading load are substantial.
Pies, Gardening and Hunting with Grandma Jamie
Q: What is one of the most positive, I guess, innovations or technological developments or inventions that have happened in your life?
Electricity, its convenience made a huge difference.
