Have been trying to learn for months. Feeling I have a much better understanding of the basics. Duolingo is silly but it can help minimal vocab. Other app like Rosetta Stone were killing my brain. For my learning style, Katie and Matteo have been great. Less than 30 min lessons, 2-3 a day. Perfetto.

I have been trying to learn some basic Italian for a trip to Italy this summer but have been frustrated with some of the nuances of the language. Katie and Matteo do an excellent job of clearly and concisely explaining the language and grammar. Make sure if you are new to the program you go back and start at the beginning, as they do a great job building on prior lessons.
