  • Kat is awesome!

I learn so much from Kat. Amy is just trying to make money selling things because she’s too dumb to give advice. I’m not buying anything that she sells when her boyfriend is a gazillionaire. She doesn’t need the money. If this was Kat only, I would totally listen.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

BOBBYCAST #580 - Mariana van Zeller on Gaining Cartel Trust, Scammers & US Drug Crisis
Q: What makes the opioid crisis and its connection to trafficking so impactful beyond journalism?
It's a public health crisis driven by demand and supply chains that cross borders, with violence and corruption underwriting distribution; reporting on it reveals how systemic poverty, lack of opportunity, and inadequate solutions perpetuate the cycle.
BOBBYCAST #580 - Mariana van Zeller on Gaining Cartel Trust, Scammers & US Drug Crisis
Q: How do you begin to gain trust inside dangerous organizations like the Sinaloa Cartel?
Gaining trust is a months- to years-long process that relies on persistence, building rapport, and proving you're there to tell a real story, not to sensationalize or betray them; only after building that trust can you stay on the ground and report safely.
BOBBYCAST #572 - Kenny Chesney on Fame, Music and Can He Ever Go Unnoticed in Public?
Q: As an artist, what do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as someone who spread positive energy, loved songs, and gave all of myself to my audience.
BOBBYCAST #572 - Kenny Chesney on Fame, Music and Can He Ever Go Unnoticed in Public?
Q: Do you think any of your songs didn't end up being what you expected?
Yes, particularly some that became surprising hits like 'Save It For A Rainy Day' which I didn't expect to be a monster.
BOBBYCAST #572 - Kenny Chesney on Fame, Music and Can He Ever Go Unnoticed in Public?
Q: What would have happened if you hadn't pursued music?
I might be involved in sports or working in marketing, but music was a godsend for me and truly what I was meant to do.
