  • Tries to boil the ocean just a bit too much

I really really really wanted to like this show as there are very few 3-D printing podcasts a few challenges. First is when you have it on Apple podcasts there is no description of what the show is about so you’ve got 600 episodes that you have no clue what they’re talking about unless you listen to the first 10 seconds. Next I find the topics are just so obscure that they’re almost stretching for things to talk about. I certainly imagine there are people that are interested in those topics but ... more

  • Prusa XL Today

An entertaining podcast from two likable, knowledgeable hosts. However, it sometime feels as though the show should be titled “Prusa XL Today.” I don’t think I’ve heard my model of printer, let alone the manufacturer, mentioned even once — and it’s not obscure or low-quality.

  • The best by far!

3D printing today surpasses any other source in its field in accuracy and production. As others have noted, the shows tend to run 2-3 weeks behind the current news cycle.

This is the only 3D printing podcast worth your time!

  • Why be political?

Economics are not political & tariffs are only a potential tool in world trade. Two observations that appear correct are that you do not truly understand tariffs and you do not like the current president. Why alienate half of your audience?

3D Printing Today #561
Q: What can I do about lint or fuzz showing up in the first layer of a print?
Consider checking if materials from your ambient environment are settling on the PEI-coated plate, and try using an alcohol wipe to ensure cleanliness before printing.
3D Printing Today #560
Q: Can you export the STL after you've made changes in PrusaSlicer?
In PrusaSlicer, you can save it as a 3MF file, retaining the changes, but you cannot export it back to an STL with those modifications.
3D Printing Today #560
Q: How can you make a 3D printer accessible so that a blind person can use it?
They can use a template for the touch screen and a flash drive for printing. Another option is to tether the computer to the printer for easier control.
3D Printing Today #535
Q: What about using full contact support for TPU or nylon?
It doesn't work well; TPU tends to bond too much, making removal difficult. PETG is better for breakaway support.
