Mitten in der Altstadt von Kempten steht die St.-Mang-Kirche. Heute nennt man Kemptens ältesten Sakralbau zu Recht Mutterkirche des evangelischen Oberallgäus. Im Turm erklingt seit 2017 ein über sechseinhalb Tonnen schweres Glockenquintett.
Erst 1932 wurde in Hersbruck wieder eine katholische Kirche gebaut: Die Marienkirche mit ihren vier Glocken, die das "Idealquartett" in der Tonfolge bilden.
2025 konnten in der evangelischen Christuskirche drei neue, klangvolle Bronzeglocken in Dienst gestellt werden. Sie wurden in der Neunkirchner Gießerei Bachert gegossen. Per Seilzug werden sie - wie in alten Zeiten - weiterhin noch von Hand geläutet.... more
