2022年 千葉県松戸市の神社でプーチン大統領の顔写真を付けた「わら人形」が釘打ちされた事件が発生した。逮捕されたのは72歳の男性。
令和の時代にも、日本の古い呪術「丑の刻参り」は生きていた。しかし、丑の刻参りは最初から「藁人形に釘を打つ呪い」だったわけではなかった。
丑の刻参りとは、丑の刻に参る信仰、女の嫉妬と橋姫伝説、古代の釘打ち呪術、という別々の要素が長い時間をかけて合体した呪術形態である。
