1960年Beth的生母是一位數學博士，但卻始終受困於自己的才華，無法面對男性世界的規訓，而走向滅亡。被送進孤兒院的Beth被餵食鎮定劑，已使她們乖巧順從，這在當時被視為合法的管理方式。但後來州立法，此類鎮定劑成為處方用藥，而無法取得，從而使Beth出現第一次戒斷症狀。無獨有偶，這類鎮定劑被推銷給受困於家庭，抑鬱難平的主婦，只要家庭醫師開立處方簽即可取得，於是Beth再度從擁有音樂才華卻被婚內遺棄的養母身上，偷到了藥。

這是品希任性的跨年紀念，陳昇從1994年開始長達26年的跨年演唱會，在今年因為發現口腔腫瘤而暫停了，這多事的一年就要過去了吧。
本集說了品希12年的跨年經驗，放了一些陳昇較不流行的曲目，
為了有始有終實踐任性歌迷的情懷，
最後放的是，2018年何韻詩的演唱會上，
兩人合唱的「不再讓你孤單」，陳昇親密而真誠地喚著「詩詩，孩子你要保重，⋯we will die for freedom」
