被照顧者進入日照中心接受照顧，照顧者則在同一個日照中心工作，讓照顧與工作，不再只能二選一。

原本只是家總志工的慧蓁，隨著家人的健康變化，也成為了照顧者。
為了照顧父親，他選擇離開工作，陪伴父親走過生命最後一段。但不久後，媽媽確診帕金森氏症接著中風，照顧，再次開始。
在穩定照顧安排之後，慧蓁走進照顧咖啡館成為吧檯志工，透過製作甜點、陪伴他人，也讓自己在其中找到喘息與新的節奏。

家貞在陪伴母親的那些年裡，一邊工作一邊照顧，從台北偶戲館館長、小草書屋副校長，到現在投入鄰里123共生協會，推動社區共生照顧的工作。
