These enthusiastically self-righteous idiots aren't here to win - they're here to make friends! (And talk about which hockey players are cats and which are dogs.) after about 2 years i’m finally completely caught up. at a loss for what else could supply the gay hockey fiend inside me with such joy, i decided it’s time to listen to everything all over again. excited to reach hot egg!
Do i listen to other podcasts? Sure, I’ll listen to Elliot Friedman if something big has happened. But have I spent the summer listening to old 32 Thoughts episodes pointlessly waiting for a new episode deep in the offseason? Not a chance. I quote and refer to the “You Can’t Do That girls” so often that it’s just a part of hockey conversations with my dad. Still love them though
The best hockey podcast out there
Hockey media can get boring but YCDT experiences hockey in the best way: through vibes, astrology and the homoerotic friendships between these dumb lugs in knife shoes. I’m not even primarily a Caps fan (LGRW!) but they’ve made me one. Just a silly little pod about our silly little sport, I can’t say enough good things.

A witty, opinionated trio talks hockey with a heavy emphasis on the Washington Capitals, mixing sharp analysis with playful banter, memes, and pop culture tangents. Episodes balance practical team talk—roster moves, leadership, injuries, and playoff storylines—with irreverent humor, affectionate fandom, and personal anecdotes, creating a lively, chaotic vibe that keeps listeners engaged whether they're casual fans or hardcore hockey nerds. Notable strengths include a strong chemistry among hosts, candid takes on players and management, and a knack for turning complex hockey topics into entertaining, relatable conversations. This show probably stands out for its female-led perspective, unabashed personality, and willingness to skew irreveren... more
