因為一場車禍讓洪嘉珮開始念地藏經，但她卻越念愈慌，越來愈害怕，甚至不敢生孩子。直到聽到師父的大法鼓，不僅解開了她的疑惑，而且師父說自己是沒有福報的人，她深受感動，便與同修決定來到法鼓山學習師父的精神，她勇敢面對，因為師父說「佛菩薩要勇敢面對，小小的存在產生善的循環，來感染這娑婆世界」，她堅信「隨時結善緣，照看別人」，自己便是有福報的人。

擁有護理背景的丁淑惠，在看到聖嚴師父心靈環保的理念後為之震撼，這不就是她多年來在學習的過程中所尋求的答案嗎！她所學習的健康產業、身心靈解方，不就是師父的心靈環保！因此她毅然放棄老師的公職，全心投入推動心靈環保的工作。
淑惠師姐提到《法鼓晨音》雖然紀錄的是聖嚴師父對法師開示，但也對應到所有人生活上的日常，師父對法師們雖然嚴厲，卻也是以重帶出提醒，也告誡世人莫忘初心，找到方向找到答案。

方翠蘭在1998年就皈依，但直到2022年小孩大了之後才有時間積極親近法鼓山，她形容來到法鼓山的這三年是她人生的奇幻旅程。
從福田班到法鼓文理學院，她有機會接觸到更多聖嚴師父的書籍，她最有感觸的是「找回自己」，也是這本書引領她一步步地自我了解，她不再緊繃自己，處處要求，讓她找到自己的生活之道，連她的兒子都深刻地感受到她變了！
