「美寶」的話題其實非常複雜，有非常多的面向可以深入討論，簡單來說，父母的角度：天下父母心，可以理解與認同。 國家的角度：如何完善法律與制度，防止外國勢力鑽漏洞洗人口，並且啃噬國家的根本。 人民群眾的角度：就像台灣人非常痛恨從沒繳稅或是鑽漏洞的華僑使用台灣健保或相關資源一樣，美國人民長期忍受高昂稅負承擔很多有錢卻不繳稅的外來移民（生美寶的群體也是其中的一類），舉例，疫情前，在南加州白卡月付17美元，一個公立學校的小學生，聯邦補助1萬7千美元……外來鑽空子的人實在太多太多，甚至連月子中心整個產業鏈都是收現金（或線上電子支付）根本沒有繳稅。
