This is an excellent podcast - especially if you are this person that has a book inside of you wanting to come out! I loved hearing Maddison’s story which brought a real perspective to an authors life but mostly I loved her message about trust and being a vessel for the book we are meant to write. So encouraging and can’t wait to listen more!
A motivational writing podcast that helps writers overcome procrastination, self-doubt, and perfectionism to actually finish their books. Maddison Michaels focuses on mindset and practical coaching rather than deep craft or industry analysis, making it especially useful for writers who feel stuck. Clear, encouraging, and action-oriented, though less detailed on technical writing skills
I have been using coloured pens and handwriting with children for years as an educator and this episode gave me the language to explain WHY it works. The distinction between stationery as a creative doorway versus stationery as avoidance stopped me completely — that is wisdom every writer and teacher needs to hear.
From someone who has wanted to write a book this podcast is exactly what I need. It’s encouraging and getting me out of my comfort zone.
This podcast has so many straightforward strategies to motivate aspiring writers and get ideas to paper. I love listening since I’ve published two books and hope to publish more, but I need support like Maddison’s to stay focused and on task.
I especially loved the Walt Disney episode because I can be a perfectionist which can keep me stuck in the beginning idea stages over analyzing. Thank you!!
