  • Pat - relax

Good show. Good guests. Pat, take a breath, man. Let the guest talk. Way too much interrupting.

  • New mic

Please get Pat a new mic. Have to set treble all the way down to zero to lessen the ear piercing sound every time he says a word with “s” in it. Deducting one star for his horrible audio. Update. Ep 352 another unlistenable one due to Pat’s horrible mic. Another star removed.

Ep 356…Finally Pat’s mic issues fully fixed! I could actually listen. 5 stars.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Wrigleyville Nation Ep 399 - Guest: Evan Altman, WBC & Spring Training Recap, Cubs Season Preview, Predictions, & More
Q: What were your thoughts on what the Cubs were doing during Spring Training and how the big-name Cubs fared in the World Baseball Classic?
Altman pointed to the mix of fringe players and prospects getting looks, noted Ballesteros' continued strong hitting, and highlighted Sayasuzuki's injury as a notable concern, while emphasizing that spring stats are imperfect but useful for context and confidence-building as the season approaches.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 374 - Guest: Paul Noonan, Cubs and Brewers Deep Dive, Imanaga Injured, & More
Q: Do you see, Jackson Churio aside, who I think is going to be a star, do either of those strike you as somebody who is going to be a solid outfielder slash hitter in your lineup?
Garrett Mitchell has had some impressive months, but his strikeout rate is absurdly high, while Sal Froelich has been a better prospect with high contact and power development.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 374 - Guest: Paul Noonan, Cubs and Brewers Deep Dive, Imanaga Injured, & More
Q: Where did you have the Brewers finishing?
I think I had them second, but after the Cubs, it was a pretty big mishmash of all the same.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 369 - Guest: Evan Altman, Japan Series Recap, Spring Traing Ends, Cubs Season Predictions
Q: So, Evan, do you feel that this Cubs offense is going to be better or worse than the last season?
I feel like it's going to be better if only because I think up and down this lineup, it's going to be more consistent.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 367 - Guest: Dan Szymborski & Jared Wyllys, Cubs Zips Projections, Cubs Con Recap, & Pressly Trade
Q: Was there something new that you added to Zips, tweaked, or something that you might not think is exciting, but might be interested for the stat heads that are listening to this?
This year, I'm incorporating spring training statistics lightly into the projections for the first time.
