  • Pat - relax

Good show. Good guests. Pat, take a breath, man. Let the guest talk. Way too much interrupting.

  • New mic

Please get Pat a new mic. Have to set treble all the way down to zero to lessen the ear piercing sound every time he says a word with “s” in it. Deducting one star for his horrible audio. Update. Ep 352 another unlistenable one due to Pat’s horrible mic. Another star removed.

Ep 356…Finally Pat’s mic issues fully fixed! I could actually listen. 5 stars.

Talking Points

Wrigleyville Nation Ep 414 - Guest: Matt Trueblood, Taillon Gone, Cubs Trade Deadline Preview, & More
Q: What is the Cubs' best path at the trade deadline given Taillon's injury history?
The panel leans toward a balanced approach: pursue at least one reliable starter or reliever for immediate help, but also consider a longer-term addition if the price is reasonable, avoiding overpaying to hold ground in a crowded playoff race.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 412 - Guest: Sara Sanchez, Dansby Heats Up, PCA Player of the Month, Cubs News & More
Q: Which players are central to the Cubs' success this season?
Pete Crow-Armstrong and Dansby Swanson emerge as central figures, with Crow-Armstrong's improved plate discipline and Swanson's hot streak driving the offense, complemented by strong defensive contributions.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 412 - Guest: Sara Sanchez, Dansby Heats Up, PCA Player of the Month, Cubs News & More
Q: What is the outlook for the Cubs' rotation at the trade deadline?
The hosts expect the Cubs to add a starting pitcher and to use bullpen depth as a bridge, aiming for multiple years of control on a starter while preserving prospect capital.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 405 - Guest: James Neveau, Cubs Sweep Reds, Winning Streaks, Boyd Injured, & More
Q: What does the Cubs rotation look like going forward with injuries to key pitchers?
The panel suggests a mix of Ben Brown and Javier Asad as back-end starters, with Shota Imanaga and Colin Ray continuing to contribute, while Horton and Boyd are out, requiring bullpen depth and multi-inning outings to cover innings.
Wrigleyville Nation Ep 404 - Guest: Jared Wyllys, Cubs win 11 Straight At Home, Ballesteros Keeps Hitting, & More
