  • Such a happy fun time

I love this show so much and it’s honestly kept me sane. It’s so comforting even when it’s heavy and I love all the amazing queerness this brings me. I’m so sad that I’m about to be completely caught up and I already wanna re-listen.

Edit: still 5 stars, genuinely so sad it’s over but so happy it happened and got through days listening to it.

  • On the face, a very cozy podcast about a world plagued by different supernatural events, but deeper than that it's about friendship and found family

But that depth has limits unfortunately. Malik feels very 1 dimensional-- they created a Black gay character and then centered so much of his development and character around his ability to support and hold the emotions of a white queer woman. It's hard to look past the dynamics of the friendship when things feel so unequal in the writing itself.

This is such a great show. I’m just so sad that some amazing looking episodes are subscriber only. Even though that is the case, I still love the show.
