  • Look Mum, no hands!

Nice guys but a little too much chatting about gear they own that I’ll never be able to afford. Interesting, but not really the informative, practical and free tuition I expect from the internet’s exploitation of other people’s hard work.

Q: What advice would you give people trying to get into the industry now?
Dream unbelievably big and act with relentless persistence; don't let location define you, move where opportunities exist, build relationships, and treat every day as a learning process while pushing through with the mindset that there are no real limits to what you can achieve.

Q: If you were looking for a mix engineer for your productions, what would you look for?
I'd look for someone who can take what I've built and tidy it up without changing it; the artist loves the intention behind the mix, so the engineer should respect that original vision and DS the track properly while preserving its character.
